PEACE MOUNTAIN THEATRE COMPANY
STATEMENT ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Dear Friends –
The rapid global spread of COVID-19 and its arrival in Montgomery County has raised the concerns of all of us for the safety of our audience, our cast, and our crew and staff. To that end, following the guidance of the CDC and other health organizations, the Peace Mountain Theatre Company Board of Directors has voted to postpone our upcoming production of Driving Miss Daisy until August 2020. We are grateful that our cast and most of our crew are able to remain with the show.
Health officials, state and local governments, and organizations have recognized the risk of contracting this virus and we want to encourage all of you to take the common-sense precautions our health officials have recommended:
Covering sneezes and coughs
If feeling ill, stay home and contact your health professional
Following other safety measures publicized by the CDC
It could also be helpful to carry a supply of tissues and a small container of hand-sanitizer when you plan to be in public places.
At PMTC, our mission has always been to serve our community. We value our patrons and those with whom we work. Please be assured that we are continuing to monitor the situation and will keep you posted as new information becomes available. In the meantime, stay safe.
