PMTC’s Educational Outreach Program will be staging a live-on-Zoom revival of our 2018 production of The Opioid Crisis: Not in My Back Yard on Sunday, March 21 at 4:00 pm. Although the COVID pandemic has rightly occupied most of the news in the past year, it must not be forgotten that the ravages of opioid dependence are still with us and still destroying the lives of young people and their families around the country. The March production will feature a short play followed by a question-and-answer session with a panel of experts. Watch for more details in upcoming newsletters.
While we are hopeful that live theater will once again be with us in 2021, it is still uncertain when groups of any size will be able to meet indoors again. For that reason, to maintain the safety of our audiences, cast and crew members, we are postponing the in-theater performance of Ayad Akhtar’s Disgraced that had been scheduled for May. The new date is yet to be determined and will, of course, depend on when restrictions are lifted and we may safely gather together once again. Instead for May, we are looking at potential plays for live-stream production and will provide details in future newsletters.
