Educational Outreach

In 2017, Peace Mountain Theatre Company initiated its  Educational Outreach Focus to provide special programs and events addressing important and critical subjects to the community. It is the goal of PMTC to spread awareness on topics that many organizations may feel are to sensitive to cover, like suicide, drugs, and bullying, to the DC Metro area and more.

Our outreach programs include professional speakers and experts and are designed to initiate engaging conversation and access to resources for those in our area.

Digital Danger

Technology brings a lot into our lives - including health and safety risks, especially for kids and teens.

The Opiod Crisis

Did you know that Governor Hogan has declared Maryland in a state of emergency due to the use of opioids?  Six people die every day in Maryland from heroin or opioids.  In 2016, 2,100 people overdosed in Maryland; 162 of them lived in Montgomery County.

Initiated in 2017, PMTC's Educational Outreach Focus provides special programs and events addressing important and critical subjects to the community.  In its first effort, Peace Mountain Theatre Company presented Adam Ruben's one-man show on Bullying on June 25, 2017.
